Bassistry Arts was established in 1993. The music workshops are interactive, dynamic, innovative, fun and educational. Winning the Shell Livewire Award in 1995 for Most Outstanding Enterprise the company has worked at schools throughout the UK. Bassistry Arts work means they regularly visit Hong Kong, the US and Australia. The company are involved in providing song writing workshops using the innovative educational music software, O-Generator, co designed by Marcel Pusey. It is now used throughout the world.

Bassistry Music has produced music for children's television for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4. The company ethos is bringing professional players back to the classroom. Many of Bassistry team continue to work with the top artists and a variety of World Bands such as Plan B, The Streets, Professor Green, Paloma Faith, Oi Va Voi (Eastern European), Bollywood Brass band (Indian).
